As an Urban Land Institute (ULI) Leadership Institute graduate, I thought I would share a little about what it has meant for me being involved with ULI over the years. I was first introduced to ULI back in 2012 in Central Florida where I frequently attended local chapter events.
After moving to South Florida in 2016, I had a desire to re-connect with ULI and become an active member of the South Florida chapter. I was encouraged by key local chapter leaders to participate in the ULI Leadership Institute. The ULI Leadership Institute allowed me to gain knowledge, develop tools required to better understand, and help create resolutions for South Florida’s most critical real estate and land use challenges, such as public transit, resiliency, sustainability, work force housing and public private partnerships, to name a few. The opportunity to collaborate and share ideas with other emerging industry leaders was invaluable and will continue to pay dividends the rest of my career.
I look forward to giving back as an active ULI Leadership Institute alum.
