Land Survey - Instrument Operator
Instrument Operator will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of data collection instruments and other tools used on job sites to collect survey data.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the maintenance and operation of data collection instruments and other tools used on job sites to collect survey data.
- Ensures that the survey team has all of the tools and equipment it needs to complete targeted tasks for the day. Sets up equipment on the job site.
- Assists the Crew Chief in determining the daily plan to complete projects in a safe and efficient manner.
- Use GPS and Total Stations to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations lines areas and contours to determine boundaries and topographic information to be put on a survey and provided to engineers and contractors to improve land and build projects.
