Miller Legg is pleased to announce its selection to provide Master Planning Services for Suwannee County’s new Regional Shelter. This 125,000-square-foot emergency shelter will be situated on a recently acquired 390-acre site along US Highway 129, approximately half a mile north of Interstate 10.
In partnership with INVISION Architecture, the Miller Legg Team looks forward to delivering to the County this significant investment in the region’s emergency preparedness and overall community resilience. Beyond serving as a critical facility for disaster shelter and recovery, the site is envisioned to provide the community with a recreational amenity that will be a catalyst for economic growth in Suwannee County, supporting future development opportunities and enhancing the area’s long-term sustainability.
“Miller Legg is honored to continue our valuable partnership with Suwannee County and contribute to a project that will have such a meaningful impact on the community and all of North Central Florida” said Michael Kroll, RLA, FASLA, President at Miller Legg. “We are excited to bring our expertise in master planning and design to help shape a facility that not only addresses immediate emergency needs but also supports a sustainable economic future for the region.”
