Miller Legg’s environmental department does extensive work with native Florida wildlife, including the Burrowing Owl, Gopher Tortoise, Sand hill Crane, Indigo Snake, and the focus of today’s blog, the elusive Bonneted Bat. The Bonneted Bat, adorably named for their large and curled ‘elephant ears’, is only found in Florida and is the largest bat native to the state.

In conjunction with our 50th year anniversary, and in support of our mission “Improving Communities, Creating Environments”, we launched a company-wide volunteerism program, “50 Years of Community Giving”, in which all staff were encouraged to donate 50 volunteer hours between August 1, 2014 to April 1, 2015.
As a great way to give back to our community and have fun at the same time, The Miller Legg Team helped with the ‘Meals of Hope’ packaging day, on Saturday, December 5th at Feeding South Florida in Pembroke Park.
