City of Weston Parks and Recreation Master Plan 

Miller Legg developed Weston’s first Parks and Recreation Master Plan (PRMP) which incorporated recommendations for provision of future facilities programs and services, land acquisition and development, maintenance, operations and management. A 27-square-mile community of 68,000 residents, Weston has nearly 2,000 acres of parks and open space with 16 City parks. The PRMP provides a 20-year implementation strategy that ensures Weston will continue to offer its residents a variety of recreational and athletic amenities and activities.

The Master Plan was developed through extensive public outreach including workshops, focus groups and surveys. In support of the PRMP, Miller Legg also prepared the City’s Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan, Recreation Trends Analysis, Recreation Programming Plan, ADA Transition Plan, Community Relations and Marketing Plan, and Community Health and Environmental Responsibility Plan.
